The Adobe Flash Professional Toolkit for CreateJS 1.2 is an extension for Flash Professional CS6 that enables designers and animators to create assets for HTML5 projects using the open source CreateJS JavaScript libraries. The extension supports most of the core animation and illustration capabilities of Flash Professional, including vectors, bitmaps, tweens, sounds, button, motion guides, animated masks, and JavaScript timeline scripting. With one click, the Toolkit for CreateJS exports the contents on the stage and in the library as JavaScript that can be previewed in the browser to help you start building expressive HTML5-based content in no time.

The latest Toolkit update also contains several critical bug fixes related to JSX errors. Adobe recommends that you install the latest version of the Toolkit.

• GB18030 support for Windows XP: In order to support the display of all characters of the Chinese standard GB18030 on Windows XP systems, Adobe recommends the installation of the Microsoft GB18030 Support Package. This support package will update an XP system with, among other things, fonts and input-method-editors (IMEs) to correctly support GB18030. The support package is available as a download from the Microsoft website. (#BG061690).
• When running the Simplified Chinese version of Adobe Flash Professional CS6 on Windows XP, you cannot use GB18030 characters in UI panels and dialog boxes. Cons: New update available, high price tag, animation focused.
Conclusion: There’s not much to not like about Adobe Flash Professional CS5. The new updates are fantastic. The new Code Snippets panel can really help cut back on coding time and the new sample file templates will give ActionScript-lacking designers a helping hand in advanced projects. The new improvements to text control are also a really great new feature, and though the Smoke Animation tool has limited success compared to the other new Deco brushes, as a whole they’re useful.
Overall, with CS5.5 out there there’s not many who are going to purchase CS5 over it. But either way, this remains a great update to the series, and anyone using CS3 will definitely want to update, though CS4 users comfortable with ActionScript may want to hold off on the investment.
